Coeur Mining, Inc. is a leading precious metals producer with operations across the globe. As a Health, Safety Professional, you will play a critical role in shaping our organization's commitment to health, safety, and environmental responsibility.

The position requires a strong background in health and safety regulations, with experience in leadership roles within mining, oil and gas, chemicals, or heavy industry. A Bachelor's degree in health and safety or equivalent is essential, along with registration or eligibility for registration as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health, safety, and emergency response programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize risks.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to site personnel on health, safety, and emergency response initiatives.
  • Investigate accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries, identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work activities, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruptions to operations.
  • Built relationships with health, safety, and emergency response regulators, participating in inspections and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Oversee industrial hygiene sampling activities, managing programs and processes to ensure accurate results and optimal employee health.
  • Maintain records of safety performance, regularly reporting trends and insights to management.
  • Deliver health, safety, and emergency response training programs, utilizing adult learning principles and engaging content to maximize impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate health, safety, and environmental considerations into operational and maintenance processes.
  • Ensure new employees, contractors, and visitors receive thorough health, safety, and emergency response orientation, emphasizing responsibilities and expectations.
  • Participate in Occupational Health and Safety Committee meetings, Mine Rescue team training, SOP development sessions, and daily management discussions to foster open communication and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Audit emergency response capabilities, maintaining equipment and ensuring timely delivery of training materials to maintain preparedness.

Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $127,000 to $132,000 based on skills, qualifications, and location.
