Job Description
We are seeking a Sterile Supply Processing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and sterilizing medical equipment and supplies for use in surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment and supplies according to established protocols
- Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly labeled and stored
- Operate departmental equipment such as automated washers, cart washer, pasteurizer, ultrasonic washer, clean dryer, heat sealer, and sterilizers
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and equipment maintenance
- Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure adherence to standards and regulations
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Grade 12 diploma plus completion of a recognized Sterile Supply Processing program
- At least one year of recent experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies
