Estimated Salary: $93,794 - $127,329 per year, depending on experience.
Job DescriptionThis nursing position requires expertise in providing resident care, demonstrating leadership in nursing practice, and coordinating clinical interventions in a long-term care setting. As a valued member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care that meets the unique needs of each resident.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide resident care, using sound judgment and critical thinking skills to address complex needs.
- Demonstrate expertise and leadership in nursing practice, implementing clinical interventions and evaluating resident outcomes based on individual goals of care.
- Act as a resource for the interdisciplinary team, providing information and coordination of ongoing resident care.
- Support RCA's and LPN's in delivering cohesive team-based care, prioritizing resident-centered approaches.
- Maintain and advance your own clinical competence through continuous learning and professional development.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Completion of an approved gerontology course or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated ability in nursing practice related to residents with chronic diseases.
- Knowledge of pathophysiology of common medical conditions, aging changes, polypharmacy, treatment protocols, and nursing interventions related to common diagnoses and specific care situations.
