Job Description

 

As a Technical Infrastructure Specialist at Blue Ocean, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our internal systems and technology infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware components
  • Managing network servers and technology infrastructure tools
  • Implementing and maintaining application and infrastructure configurations
  • Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
  • Ensuring security through certificate management and access control
  • Maintaining disaster recovery backup systems and verifying recovery procedures

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
  • Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
  • Ability to create scripts in various languages and systems environments
  • Familiarity with MS Windows on-prem and Azure hybrid domain environments, VMware on-prem virtualization, AWS Virtual Private Cloud, and other technologies
  • Experience working with server operating systems, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and DNS
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities
  • Self-starter with a dedication to continual improvement and a lifelong learning mindset
