CPP Investments is seeking a skilled Senior Financial Planning Manager to join its Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the planning and analysis of Market Data & Subscriptions expense lines across all departments.

About the Role

You will work independently to lead and coordinate the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process, ensuring information accuracy. Your analytical skills will enable you to make connections between information sources to conduct analysis around spend trends and variances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and structure reports with specific information that provides clear illustration of points; creatively conveying data and analysis with charts, tables, and other visuals.
  • Drive efficiencies in the expense reporting and analysis process and present spend reporting results to business management teams and/or executives.
  • Address ad-hoc business requests to facilitate CPP Investments-wide discussions and analyses.
  • Work with the Data Scouting team on proactively identifying cost optimization opportunities for presentation to business partners.
  • Partner with our external vendor Calero to support our management of the Market Data Management (MDM) solution from a dashboard and reporting perspective.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent, with a professional accounting designation.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar financial planning & analysis role; experience with Market Data preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate in a clear, succinct, organized, and convincing manner verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively with business stakeholders and T&D colleagues.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of accounting and budgeting concepts.
  • The ability to quickly grasp new concepts and work in a high-performing culture, under pressure and with time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
Compensation

This position offers a competitive salary of $110,000 per annum, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth and development.
