Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join the General Radiology team at the Whistler Health Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, observing safe radiation protection practices, and maintaining the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, including receiving and completing requisitions, entering relevant data into the Radiology Information System, and preparing patients for examination.
- Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, including processing radiographs and archiving acquired data.
- Monitor patient safety and well-being during procedures, and maintain a clean and organized examination environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques, and participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and expertise.
Requirements
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting patients as needed.
