Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at the Whistler Health Centre in Whistler, BC.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, observing safe radiation protection practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and completing requisitions, entering relevant data into the Radiology Information System (RIS), preparing patients for examination, operating radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, and maintaining cleanliness of examination rooms.
Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, observing safe radiation protection practices.
- Receive and complete requisitions, entering relevant data into the RIS.
- Prepare patients for examination, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, processing radiographs and archiving acquired data.
- Maintain cleanliness of examination rooms, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment.
- Ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare staff.
