Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Operations Coordinator to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our global compliance and AML leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Presentation Creation: Serve as a key resource in the creation and upkeep of high-impact presentations for Senior-level Executive audiences, driving decisive action on strategic recommendations and ensuring adherence to established policies and processes.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Occupy a crucial position in aiding the Global Compliance & AML leadership team and other cross-functional teams to orchestrate strategic initiatives and ensure meticulous execution.
  • Leadership Support: Provide strategic assistance to local leadership by aiding in the formulation and execution of key strategies that align with the organization's objectives.
  • Team Events: Lead large-scale team events, both domestically and internationally, to strengthen team cohesion and uphold company culture.
  • Partnerships: Foster and sustain strategic partnerships with external entities, in alignment with the department's strategic vision.
  • Logistics Management: Manage logistics for leadership in-country visits, ensuring flawless facilitation of in-country business events and high-profile meetings.
  • Process Efficiency: Continuously seek methods to enhance process efficiency through automation and standardization.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • University Degree: A university degree in Business is desirable.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in strategic roles in banking/financial services.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Technical Skills: Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint, with a keen eye for presentation design and the ability to distill complex concepts and analyses into clear, easy-to-understand presentations.
  • Cultural Fit: Thrives in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment, able to manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines, and experienced in developing reports and communications for an executive audience.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on industry standards and the level of experience required.
