Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the testing of medium to large projects within the Card Global Technology Products Engineering team. This role requires a comprehensive knowledge of UAT methodology, procedures, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the testing of multiple projects and assignments concurrently.
  • Assess individual project needs and work closely with Development, Configuration/Code Management, and environment teams to establish a stable environment for conducting QA tests.
  • Conduct testing of business applications with Web interfaces, GUI, and green screen emulation in various environment platforms.
  • Initiate and perform software fault source diagnosis.
  • Assess UAT projects to determine the risk of releasing the code into the current test environment.
  • Design UAT test plans and assign and review test documentation.
  • Continually evaluate priorities for various projects and take decisive action as required.
  • Assess the results of UAT tests and take appropriate action.
  • Transfer application and process expertise to more junior analysts within UAT.

Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of PCs and department-related software.
  • Application testing experience within Card Domain would be desirable.
  • Understanding of automation tools and experience using automation scripts for project testing would be desirable.
  • Detail-oriented approach to project testing.
  • Supervision and coordinating of testing for projects/releases.
