Job Title: Intermediate Quality Engineer

Description:

SUMMARY

At Jonas Software UK, we are seeking an experienced Intermediate Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through the development, maintenance, and execution of manual and automated test cases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure the quality of software products.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and stress testing across different platforms.
  • Identify, track, and report bugs clearly and concisely, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, design reviews, and sprint planning meetings to provide QA input.
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand new features and ensure test coverage for new and existing functionality.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of testing documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and test reports.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests and ensure a smooth testing process.
  • Maintain a test environment and ensure the availability of test data required for testing.
  • Continuously improve the QA process and tools to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing roles.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Experience with manual testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and tools (e.g., WebdriverIO, Postman, or similar).
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and the ability to perform database queries for testing purposes.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

NICE-TO-HAVE

  • Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Exposure to cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
