Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at IWK Health.

Job Summary:

The Medical Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This includes collecting and processing blood and other bodily fluids, performing tests and analyzing results, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and process blood and other bodily fluids for testing
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood group and type testing
  • Analyze test results and maintain accurate records
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient laboratory operations
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
  • College diploma or certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology
  • Experience in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
