Purpose:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide financial planning that's closely integrated with wealth management, supporting the Wealth Advisor team in creating and developing a comprehensive wealth strategy for clients. This includes preparing and delivering personal financial plans, as well as contributing to the development and management of the Advisor's business through client relationship management and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Proactively support the financial planning needs of assigned clients, including deep discovery, plan preparation, and presentation delivery.
  • Support advisors by inputting client data, building financial plans, providing alternative scenarios, and identifying referral opportunities.
  • Champion an integrated and organized approach to planning through collaboration with internal specialists.
  • Contribute to ongoing professional practice through monthly Total Wealth Planning calls and provide updates on financial planning and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or IQFP designation.
  • Licensed as a Registered Representative with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO).
  • College or University degree.
  • In-depth understanding of comprehensive financial planning, including investments, asset protection, retirement, estate planning, and tax issues.
  • Experience in Total Wealth Planning engagement, from client discovery to plan preparation and presentation delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and results-focused mindset.
