Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Education Assistant at Headway School Society of Alberta. As an Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, including those with special needs, English language learners, and students requiring academic assistance.
  • Classroom Assistance: Assist teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment.
  • Behavioral Support: Help students develop positive behaviors and social skills, promoting a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure a collaborative approach to student support.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties, such as maintaining student records, preparing materials, and performing other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience working with students in a educational setting
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 30-40 hour workweek. The work language is English.
