About the Role:

This exciting opportunity involves driving lighter, special purpose trucks and overseeing all aspects of vehicle maintenance, including pre-trip inspections and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for arranging travel itineraries, making reservations, and handling cargo logistics. Additionally, you will be required to operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, as well as oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.

Your duties will also include recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption. You will work in various locations and must be willing to adapt to changing circumstances.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and possess excellent documentation knowledge, including familiarity with driver logbooks, inspection reports, and maintenance and repair records.

A strong focus on security and safety is essential, with a valid driver's licence and a clean driving record abstract. Additionally, you will need to handle heavy loads, work overtime, and perform repetitive tasks.
