Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional emerging researcher to fill a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) position in addiction research at the Faculty of Health Sciences. The successful candidate will have a compelling vision for continuing and further developing McMaster's strengths in addiction research.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in a related discipline
  • Exceptional emerging researcher with a demonstrated potential to lead in their field
  • Excellent research creativity and international recognition in their field within the next five to ten years
  • Potential to attract, develop, and retain excellent trainees, students, and future researchers
Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Others

This is a full-time appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. The Chair will be expected to maintain an outstanding program of research, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise and cultivate an intellectual community of graduate students working in addiction research, and help sustain the collegial atmosphere within the Faculty.
