About the Position
The Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University invites applications for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Addiction Research. This position is part of a strategic initiative to establish McMaster as a leader in addiction research.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an outstanding program of research, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise and cultivate an intellectual community of graduate students, and contribute to the Faculty's and University's commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a research program in addiction research, with a focus on cognitive neuroscience, behavioral science, or clinical research.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in addiction research, as well as supervise graduate students.
- Contribute to the Faculty's and University's commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusivity.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in a related discipline.
- Exceptional emerging researcher with a strong track record of research creativity and potential to lead in the field.
- Potential to attract, develop, and retain excellent trainees, students, and future researchers.
