Job Summary

The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting the HR Business Partners in delivering day-to-day HR functions and key initiatives. This includes onboarding, recruitment, performance management, compliance, conflict resolution, labour relations, and learning and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Design and implement effective onboarding programs for new employees.
  • Manage recruitment processes, including job postings, interviews, and offer letters.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and provincial laws.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, including benefits, leaves of absence, and performance management.
  • Assist supervisors and managers with disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution.
  • Coordinate HR-related meetings and events, including training sessions and employee recognition programs.
  • Prepare and analyze HR-related reports and data to inform business decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant regulations and laws to ensure the company remains compliant.
Requirements
  • College diploma in Human Resources or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR, preferably in a generalist role.
  • CHRP or SHRM-CP certification an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Work Environment

The HR Generalist will work in an open office environment with a moderate noise level. The employee will be required to sit for long periods, use basic office equipment, and occasionally lift and move HR files.

The employee may be required to travel locally, overnight, or internationally.
