About the Role

Roma Fence Ltd. is seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, maintaining high-quality production standards.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, fit, braze and torch-straighten metal, and operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC).
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment to facilitate production.
  • Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line, and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive tasks and physically demanding conditions.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) weight handling capacity.
