About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team at Avro Transport Inc. as a key member of our industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Verify Welds: Examine welds to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Operate Equipment: Safely operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brakes, shears, and other metal shaping and bending machines.
  • Metal Fabrication: Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Welding and Cutting: Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) and determine weldability of materials.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
  • Production Line Management: Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
