Industrial Equipment Specialist

Job Summary
Clarity Hiring is seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright to join our team in Ancaster, Ontario. As an Industrial Millwright, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on various equipment, analyzing mechanical issues, and interpreting technical documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections and repairs of pumps, valves, motors, gears, hydraulics, and other related equipment
- Analyze complex mechanical issues, identify problems, and recommend courses of action for repair or replacement
- Interpret operating manuals, diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate equipment installation and repairs
- Collaborate with external contractors to complete maintenance tasks and ensure quality workmanship
- Respond to emergency equipment failures, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary repairs
- Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, customers, and contractors through effective communication and conflict resolution skills
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to record work performed, source parts, and update work status as required
Requirements:
- Secondary School Graduation Diploma
- Valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) in good standing with the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities
- Three to five years of practical experience preferred
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite, EAM Computerized Maintenance Management System, and other computerized systems an asset
- Good understanding of safety practices as mandated under the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Able to interpret design drawings, schematic drawings, and operating manuals
Work Environment:
- Exposure to noise, heights, confined spaces, poor lighting conditions, and extreme temperatures
- Required to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding to access elevations
Compensation:
$42-$47 per hour + shift premium ($0.50/hr afternoons, $0.65/hr nights)
