Job Summary

We are seeking a Community Care Assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Community Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing home support services to clients in Squamish, BC. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while advancing your career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide home support services to clients under the direction of a Supervisor/Coordinator/Manager or delegate.
  • Assist clients with varied levels of care, observing and reporting significant changes in client presentation.
  • Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
  • Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care.
  • Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from a recognized Health Care Assistant Program.
  • Current/Active Registration with BC Community Health Worker and Care Aide Registry.
  • Experience interacting with persons with dementia, geriatric, and/or palliative population will be an asset.
  • Valid BC Drivers License. Local travel requires the use of a personal vehicle.
