Job SummaryThis is a unique opportunity to work with our Home Support Team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. As a Caregiver Specialist, you will be responsible for providing home support services to clients, including assisting with daily living activities, observing and reporting significant changes in client presentation, and collaborating with the healthcare team to maximize client independence.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide home support services to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Observe and report significant changes in client presentation, including any concerns or issues that may impact their care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, clients, and caregivers to develop and implement care plans that promote client independence and well-being.
- Motivate and encourage clients to participate in their care, promoting self-care and empowerment.
To be successful in this role, you must have a graduation from a recognized Health Care Assistant Program and current/active registration with the BC Community Health Worker and Care Aide Registry. Experience interacting with persons with dementia, geriatric, and/or palliative populations is an asset. You must also possess a valid BC Driver's License, as local travel requires the use of a personal vehicle.
