We're seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech IV - CES) to join our team at United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced mechanics to work independently in a safe and professional manner, performing maintenance and repairs of complex equipment on customer-owned assets. Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on various rental and customer equipment and tools
  • Travel to customer job sites for equipment repair and maintenance, ensuring service vehicles are well-maintained
  • Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed
  • Document work performed accurately and promptly
  • Upsell and demonstrate complex equipment to customers
  • Support equipment pick-up and delivery
  • Additional duties assigned by management

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • At least 5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and tool knowledge
  • Familiarity with construction equipment and strong engine background knowledge
  • Strong understanding of schematics and diagrams
  • Possess necessary tools for the position
  • Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Able to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs

This role is deemed Safety Sensitive within our company policies.

We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including an estimated salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience and location.
