Ice Cream Team Lead

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the ice cream counter at COWS. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and be able to provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ice cream team in providing World Class Service to customers
  • Greet and serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Be a team builder and facilitator, promoting a positive and productive work environment
  • Act as a liaison between staff and management, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including preparing bank deposits and handling voids
  • Prepare and maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Assist in the training of staff and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager/Assistant Manager

Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and staff
  • Competitive spirit and a desire to sell, with a focus on providing excellent customer service
  • Efficient and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to read and comprehend financial statements, with a focus on maintaining accurate records and managing cash handling
  • Strong delegation skills, with the ability to empower team members and promote a culture of accountability
  • Team-oriented, outgoing personality with a sense of humor

Physical Requirements:

  • Repetitive tasks, specifically in the wrists
  • Bending, lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Standing for the duration of the shift

Other Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation
  • Availability from mid-June to early September
