Key Responsibilities:

* Support key accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, visa statement reconciliations, payroll reconciliations, and staff and board expense reimbursements.
* Manage routine transactions, such as day-to-day banking, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
* Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including supporting the annual financial audit.
* Coordinate and prepare multiple payroll processes.
* Collaborate with the CFO to implement financial and administrative processes and controls.

Requirements:

* Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
* Accounting degree or two years of undergraduate study with a focus on business and accounting.
* Proven experience in taking on responsibilities, solving problems creatively, and working in a fast-paced environment.
* Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
* Familiarity with financial management or accounting software, preferably QuickBooks.
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel or other spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of Microsoft 365 admin center, Ceridian Powerpay, Salesforce, Expensify, and QuickBooks Time is an asset.
