Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Safety Specialist to join our team at BC Hydro. As an Occupational Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement occupational safety and health programs to prevent injuries and illnesses.
  • Conduct workplace inspections and investigations to identify hazards and develop corrective actions.
  • Provide training and education to employees on occupational safety and health procedures and best practices.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on workplace safety and health metrics and trends.
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in occupational safety and health.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
