About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Youth Care Worker. As a Youth Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to young people in our care, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in life.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with other professionals to provide a comprehensive range of services to young people, including individual and group therapy, life skills training, and recreational activities.

You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for young people, and for contributing to the development and implementation of treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group support to young people in our care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other professionals
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for young people
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to provide a comprehensive range of services
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience, preferably in a substance use and/or mental health treatment setting
  • Crisis response experience is also desirable
  • Knowledge and experience in the areas of adolescence, at-risk youth, addictions, and mental health
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required
  • Completion of the Child & Youth Care Certificate program or training in the social sciences is desirable
