About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with inpatient units to provide occupational therapy services as part of a multidisciplinary treatment plan and consistent with the principles of recovery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited University
  • Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT)
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia
  • Experience in developing and providing group and individual psychoeducation
  • Demonstrated skills in completing functional assessments
  • Demonstrated ability to build client capacity to promote occupational performance
  • Evidence of ability to work independently, with a multidisciplinary team as well as with both hospital and community-based services/agencies
  • Demonstrated use of innovative problem-solving and application of evidence-based practice to patient services
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Full-time long assignment; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Approximately 12 months
  • Dates are subject to change
Compensation and Benefits

$42.89 hourly
