Occupational Therapist, Mental Health & Addictions
Nova Scotia Health is a leading provider of health services in Nova Scotia, with a mission to achieve excellence in health, healing and learning. We're seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Mental Health & Addictions Program.
About the Opportunity
This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a graduate of an accredited University Program in Occupational Therapy. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mental health and addiction services to patients, working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
About You
- You have a strong background in occupational therapy, with a minimum of one year of experience in an inpatient or outpatient mental health and addiction setting.
- You are eligible for membership in the Canadian Occupational Therapy Association and registration to practice occupational therapy in Nova Scotia.
- You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- You are committed to ongoing education and professional development, with a focus on maintaining or enhancing your knowledge and skills in occupational therapy.
- You are able to demonstrate sound judgment and initiative, with a commitment to promoting a culture of respect and safety.
