Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Food Service Professional to join our team at Scanway Catering Ltd. as a Dining Room Server. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Beverage Service: Prepare and serve specialty food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Table Management: Manage tables effectively, ensuring that customers receive prompt and attentive service.
  • Point of Sale: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and debit card payments.
  • Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with our menu offerings and make recommendations to customers as needed.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless service and a positive dining experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Formal dining room, catering firm, or hotel/motel/resort environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs), and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, organized, reliable, and a team player.
