About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a SchoolsPlus and Integrated Services Consultant. This is a unique opportunity to work with multiple government departments, focusing on responsive policy and service delivery systems.

The successful candidate will be accountable for the strategic coordination of the inter-departmental collaboration/SchoolsPlus model to effectively support children, youth, and families across our province.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance integrated services and support for children, youth, and families.
  • Collaborate with government departments, community partners, and stakeholders to build a responsive and inclusive education system.
  • Provide leadership and coordination for the SchoolsPlus model, ensuring effective implementation and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with diverse groups, community partners, and colleagues to advance the goals of the SchoolsPlus model.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work or equivalent post-secondary training.
  • Minimum of eight years of related experience in leadership for provincial strategies/programs with cross-departmental accountability and implications.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers and eligibility for a Specialist Teaching License with the Office of Teacher Certification, EECD.
  • Experience in an integrated leadership role (consultant, coordinator, manager, or equivalent) with a focus on inclusive education.
