Produce Department Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Department Assistant Manager to join our team at Fortinos. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing produce staff, and maintaining a high level of product quality.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous and professional manner
- Direct and supervise produce staff to ensure efficient and courteous customer service
- Assist in the set-up and maintenance of the produce department, including merchandising and display creation
- Write and receive produce orders, check invoices, and unload and distribute merchandise
- Fulfill, rotate, and maintain displays to ensure product quality meets company standards
- Assist in the training of new staff members
- Solve customer and employee complaints or problems while in charge of the department
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a retail produce environment
- Good knowledge of greens, fresh fruits, salad bar, and bulk foods
- Previous management experience is an asset
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
