Job DescriptionThe Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, establishing strong relationships with clients, and maintaining customer loyalty. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting research on prospective new clients and markets, followed by introductory phone calls and/or emails.
- DIRECTLY MANAGING AND MAINTAINING CLIENT ACCOUNTS AND RELATIONSHIPS.
- Collaborating with Hotel General Managers to ensure cohesiveness with sales activities.
This role is critical to the ongoing success of our business. We are seeking a proactive self-starter who can promote our destinations, grow market share, and service existing clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A minimum of 3 years of sales experience, with direct experience in hotel sales being a strong asset.
- Willingness to travel to various Prestige properties and feeder markets if required.
- Experience in developing and executing successful sales or business strategies.
- A passion for sales and target-based performance.
- A diploma, degree, or equivalent experience in sales, tourism, hospitality, business development, or other relevant business field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive starting salary of $65,000, three weeks' vacation, extended health and dental benefits, free parking downtown Kelowna, and discounts on restaurants and Prestige properties across BC.
