Job Summary
The Research and Learning Coordinator will lead the implementation of research and learning activities related to the Queen's and University of Gondar (UoG) Mastercard Foundation Scholars Project. This role will develop and implement monitoring and evaluation tools to assess project outcomes, prepare monitoring and evaluation reports, and liaise with the project team and Queen's Office of Research Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage the progress of research projects, conduct periodic reviews, and provide feedback to project PIs.
- Participate in the design and development of research study protocols, draft proposal outlines, and prepare research proposals and ethics board submissions.
- Conduct literature searches, create literature databases, and assess research information to support learning in areas of disability and inclusion.
- Collect and analyze data for assigned research projects and conduct interviews with key informants to gather information.
- Support project learning through analysis of tools and dissemination of findings, draft reports, and prepare results for presentation.
- Liaise with student and faculty liaison to distribute research funding information and schedule research funding opportunity workshops.
- Develop and implement the monitoring and evaluation plan for the project and advise on research and evaluation activities.
- Organize and participate in conferences, meetings, and events to profile and advance research activities.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant field combined with several years of relevant research and coordination experience.
- Experience conducting research and qualitative data analysis, using online literature search engines and databases.
- Proven project management experience and knowledge of relevant university practices and procedures.
