Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Health and Safety to join our team at Beanfield Technologies Inc. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading special projects that align with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development:
    • Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules to enhance employee skills and performance.
    • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and create tailored programs to address skill gaps.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through metrics and feedback, continuously improving the curriculum.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Ensure the company's compliance with all local and federal health and safety regulations.
    • Develop, implement, and manage health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
    • Organize safety training and awareness programs for employees to promote a safe working environment.
    • Lead investigations into any workplace accidents or incidents, providing recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
  • Special Projects:
    • Lead and manage cross-functional special projects that align with the company's strategic objectives.
    • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
    • Monitor project progress, providing regular updates to senior leadership and addressing any issues or challenges.
    • Implement best practices in project management to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in training and development, health and safety, and project management.
    • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
    • Proven experience in designing and delivering effective training programs.
    • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading complex projects.
    • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Skilled in Microsoft and Google suite applications, as well as various project management tools.
