Job Title: Health Safety and Environmental Director

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Director to lead operations across Canada. Reporting to the Head of the Region, the HSE Director will play a critical role in enhancing our safety culture, reducing incident rates, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Strategy: Lead, maintain, and continuously improve ENERCON's HSE program, with a focus on risk assessment and mitigation for national wind power projects.
  • Operational Excellence: Work closely with Installation, Services, and other support department managers to develop and meet operational HSE requirements.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and provincial laws, as well as industry standards.
  • Communication and Culture: Promote and communicate a strong HSE culture across all levels of the organization.
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Update and monitor key performance indicators in health and safety, implementing effective measures to address issues.
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Bachelor's degree (BAC) in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, including 5 years in Health and Safety Management Systems
  • Proven experience in the management and implementation of essential OSH programs
  • CRSP certification (PSAC) is required
  • Extensive experience with Canadian Occupational Health and Safety regulations and standards
