Your Role: Health, Safety & Environment Advisor

Reporting to the SSE Director, you will play a vital role in helping Equans achieve world-class safety management. Your responsibilities will encompass providing expert advisory support, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting comprehensive safety audits, and actively participating in training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Conduct thorough safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety programs and procedures to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment.
  • Train employees on safety protocols, best practices, and emergency response procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including management, employees, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Legal authorization to work in Canada.
  • Ability to pass required security clearances.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction or customer service industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, HR Management, or a related field.
  • Fluency in French and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and injury prevention practices.
