Job Title: Registered Nurse - Child and Youth Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Child and Youth Mental Health Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to children and youth with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized nursing care to children and youth with mental health needs, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide education and support to children, youth, and their families on mental health issues and treatment options.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to child and youth mental health care.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safe and supportive environment for children, youth, and families.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • One year of recent experience working in a child and youth mental health setting.
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
