Clinical Research Physician
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Physician to join our team at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our Acute Care Surgery team to provide clinical service to General Surgery patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients referred to the General Surgery Service via the Emergency Department
- Consult on patients referred by other medical and surgical subspecialty services
- Assess patients diverted to rapid assessment clinics
- Complete daily rounding on ACS inpatients
- Experience in Medicine or General Surgery as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Eligible to attain an academic appointment with McMaster University
- Demonstrated experience providing care to structurally vulnerable populations
- Demonstrated experience in teaching or clinical research
