We are currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in a strategic partnership role.

Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for providing HR leadership and expertise to our assigned client group. You will provide consultation and support to front-line managers on various HR matters, including employee relations, recruitment, attendance management, performance management, and organizational development.

Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations: Provide support for employee/labour relations issues, including internal dispute resolution, policy/procedure interpretation, Collective Agreement interpretation, counselling, and actively participating in the handling of complaints and grievances.
  • Recruitment: Assist with the recruitment function, including requisition processing, job postings, applicant tracking, interviews, employment offers, onboarding, and modified work arrangements.
  • Occupational Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario, including providing support to the reporting and WSIB claims processes.
Requirements
  • University Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a generalist Human Resources capacity or other relevant work experience.
  • Significant experience in HR in a unionized environment.
  • Knowledge of HR tools and systems available to support HR reporting and employee information.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and organizational skills with superior conflict resolution.

Compensation

The annual salary for this role is $79,285 to $94,671, depending on qualifications and experience.
