About the Role

Mohawk College is seeking a visionary leader to drive innovation and technology transformation as our Chief Information and Technology Officer (CITO). This role will be crucial in advancing our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and spearheading digital initiatives that align with our academic and business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead IT strategy development, integrating emerging technologies like AI, data analytics, and cloud computing.
  • Foster collaboration between academic, administrative, and external stakeholders to drive digital transformation.
  • Oversee cybersecurity protocols to safeguard student data and institutional information.
  • Guide the migration to cloud-based solutions for enhanced efficiency and innovation.
  • Promote student-focused technologies that improve the digital learning experience.
  • Manage IT budgets, vendor partnerships, and staff development, ensuring a high-performing and inclusive team.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Project Management Certification (PMI) is an asset.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) basic training is mandatory; ITIL Service Master is an asset.
  • 12+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
  • Expertise in cloud computing, business intelligence, and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
  • Proven success in leading IT transformations in large, complex organizations.
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, risk management, and team leadership.
