About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Shaw Lab Group. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality dental restorations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Dental Models: Prepare plaster models and moulds to exact specifications.
  • Casting and Finishing: Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases, and finish metal frameworks of dentures.
  • Supply Management: Maintain and order supplies to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
  • Wax Work: Mould wax over dentures set-up and prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays.
  • Denture Production: Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures.
  • Orthodontic Band Production: Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys.
  • Denture Polishing: Polish and buff dentures to a high shine.

  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced laboratory setting with multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Manual Dexterity: Possess excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
