About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Full Stack Developer to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for integrating with our Agile/Scrum team and contributing to the development of Client Centre micro-frontends in React as part of the "New Intact Experience" project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate with the Agile/Scrum team and participate in daily stand-ups and retrospectives
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code for Client Centre micro-frontends in React
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Contribute to the development of Client Centre APIs in Java, Kotlin, and Nest
  • Adjust unit tests to ensure the quality of new development
  • Adjust technical documentation to support code
  • Participate in bug fixes and production support
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in software engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Have completed at least one academic internship
  • Understand the basics of Scrum methodology
  • Understand the software development lifecycle and be curious about continuous delivery pipelines and testing
  • Have software development experience in Java or Kotlin
  • Be curious about REACT, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and microservices
  • Be bilingual (English and French)
  • Be available 35 hours a week
  • Be returning to school in Summer or Fall following the internship
