Software Engineering Internship Opportunity

At Macdonald, Dettwiler And Associates Corporation, we are seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Engineering Student to join our Software engineering department at our Montreal office.

This internship is a 4-month opportunity (with a possibility of 8 months) starting in January 2025, where you will be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company. You will collaborate with a team in charge of designing electronic flight and test systems.

As a Software Engineering Student, you will participate in the software life cycle stages such as code verification and validation, integration or tests. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing automation test software under windows for satellite electronics testing;
  • Writing test cases from requirements;
  • Participating in embedded development.

To be successful in this role, you should have some experience with Python, C, C++, be resourceful, have a desire to learn, show initiative, and have experience with embedded systems such as RPi, Arduino, GIT, JIRA, Confluence, and related work or hobby/club experience.

Please note that successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
