Xakt Komponents Inc is seeking a skilled Precision Machinist to join our team in a permanent position. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines, as well as other conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.

About the Role

This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for precision machining to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be working independently, setting up and adjusting production machinery, and documenting any deviations from specifications and tolerances.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand product requirements.
  • Set up and adjust CNC machines, as well as conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, to produce high-quality parts.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports to ensure quality control.
  • Operate CNC machines to produce complex parts with high precision and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as machining or engineering technology.
  • Experience working with CNC machines and other precision equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
