Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this role is $90,000 - $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director of Fleet Operations to oversee the maintenance operations of our locations. This key leadership role involves managing shop staff, scheduling fleet maintenance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and administer fleet maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and develop strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs;
  • Supervise shop staff, provide training and development opportunities, and conduct performance reviews;
  • Work closely with location managers and regional maintenance teams to ensure smooth communication and coordination;
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulations, maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to policies and procedures;
  • Initiate and implement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce operating costs, including bus fueling and building maintenance;

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on mechanical supervisory experience;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proficiency in computer systems and industry-specific software;
  • Prior experience in diesel engine repair and school bus maintenance is preferred;
