Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Instrumentation Specialist to join our Central Supply team at North York General Hospital.

About the Role

This part-time casual position involves reprocessing medical/surgical instrumentation, picking cases for Operating Room procedures, and assembling inhalation equipment. You will work in both the Consumers Road Site and General Sites, utilizing your excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to prioritize workload and follow written and verbal instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate technical equipment such as autoclaves and cartwash, and transport instrumentation and supplies.
  • Return unused instruments and supplies to proper storage areas while working safely in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Qualifications
  • A Community College certificate in Sterile Supply Processing is required.
  • Endoscopy/Olympus certification and experience are assets.
  • A minimum of three years of CSR Instrument Aide experience or equivalent is necessary.
  • MDRD certification is an asset.
  • Fluent English language skills are mandatory, with bilingualism in French/English being an asset.
