Job Overview:

Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy and Governance Analyst to support our governance functions, including Board nominations, Board Elections, and the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting research and analysis on government proposals and policy initiatives.
  • Developing and implementing effective governance processes and practices.
  • Supporting the organization's government relations activities, including coordinating engagement and tracking lobbying efforts.
  • Liaising with internal partners to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinating the policy response/development process by providing project planning, tracking, and reporting.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years experience working in a policy or public administration environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Experience with communications planning and execution, including independent development of communications materials.
  • Demonstrated experience in policy development and a strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to ensure that projects and initiatives are delivered on time.
