Job Summary

RITE-LINE TRANSPORTATION INC. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Tractor-Trailer Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Tractor-Trailer Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner
  • Coach colleagues on new methods and work techniques
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
Requirements
  • AZ class license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
  • Working at heights training
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • CPR Certificate
  • Defensive Driving Course
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Extended Trailer Combination Permit or Endorsement
  • FAST (Free and Secure Trade) Program
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Pro-Trucker/Smart Driver (fuel efficiency) Training
  • Professional Driver Improvement Certificate
  • Skid Control Training
