Job Title: Executive Chef

Mount Alverno Resort and Retreat is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary operations and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to optimize kitchen efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to inform menu planning and kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new recipes to enhance our menu offerings and stay competitive in the market.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure that they are equipped to provide exceptional service and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets and weddings.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked and equipped to meet the needs of our guests.
  • Collaborate with our events team to develop customized menus and ensure that our culinary services meet the needs of our guests.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a senior kitchen management role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
